Which movies is this "plot" from?

I remember seeing a trailer once and then really wanted to see the
whole thing.. but then i forgot about it later. I don't even remember
if it was actually a movie or just a random youtube video...

All i know is, it's about a guy who had the power to bring anyone from
the dead, but it had rules, more than just one, and one of the rules
said: If "something" (i can't remember what) then SOMEONE ELSE HAS TO
DIE (that's the "punchline" i remember most).

That's about all that i can remember for sure, but i also kinda think
that he brought back his dead girlfriend. And i THINK that this rule
that i mentioned was about keeping someone alive for too long...

That's ALL i can remember. If anyone has any idea, i'd appreciate it.
It's kind of a newer movie for sure.
